Brintons buoyant after strong 2022
Brintons are positive about their prospects for 2023 after reporting sales up more than 12% last year and a return to profitability despite challenging market conditions.
The Kidderminster-based business has just filed accounts for the year ended 1 October 2022 which show revenue growth of 12.5% to £60.1m.
Brintons accounts show EBITDA at £8.3m, with pre-tax profits for the period of £1.7m, reversing a loss of £4.2m in the previous year.
The performance was hampered by the pandemic and costs and energy impacts of the war in Ukraine, but the company says price increases and energy-saving measures helped to improve the position.
In a statement to the accounts, Brintons commented:
“We enter the year with a strong order book and healthy pipeline of project activity.
We are experiencing a noticeable uplift in the US market and our businesses in the Far East and Australia continue to perform strongly supported by new product launches.
“Whilst business across Europe remains more challenging, the UK continues to perform well, in part due to the earlier reduction in Covid restrictions compared to mainland Europe.”
