Kerridge Commercial Systems becomes Klipboard: Smarter solutions for the flooring industry
It has been quite the year for Klipboard, formerly known as Kerridge Commercial Systems.

With a bold rebrand, a renewed commitment to innovation, and a series of strategic investments and partnerships, Klipboard has redefined its position in the market as a leading provider of business management solutions for the distribution industry.
Vigo acquisition strengthens transport & delivery capability
In late 2024, Klipboard acquired Vigo Software - a move that brings best-in-class logistics and delivery management into the Klipboard ecosystem.
The acquisition adds powerful functionality for delivery planning, pallet scanning, live tracking, ePOD (electronic proof of delivery), and real-time vehicle visibility - all essential tools for flooring distributors operating high-volume, multi-drop deliveries.
“By combining Vigo’s delivery expertise with Klipboard’s ERP and warehouse strengths, we can now offer distributors complete end-to-end control - from quote to doorstep,” said James Mitchell, CEO of Europe.
Digitising the supply chain by partnering with Open ECX
Klipboard also announced its partnership with Open ECX, giving customers a faster, more automated way to process purchase orders, invoices and credits through secure electronic data exchange.
This move supports Klipboard’s mission to reduce paperwork and improve sustainability, eliminate manual errors, and speed up end-to-end operations.
“With Open ECX, we’re helping customers reduce time, cost and friction across their supply chain,” said Chief Product Officer, DJ Jones.

Konnect 2025: vision, innovation and a new name for Kerridge Commercial Systems
Held in March at Stratford-upon-Avon’s Crowne Plaza, Konnect 2025 marked a significant moment for Klipboard - bringing together customers, partners and industry leaders for two days of product updates, strategic insights, and hands-on workshops. Most notably, it served as the public debut of the Klipboard brand as well as a showcase for its next generation of solutions and innovations.
CEO Ian Bendelow opened the event with a bold message: “Today marks an exciting milestone as we launch Klipboard. This rebrand reflects our passion for collaboration, innovation and delivering measurable value to customers. We believe this new name and contemporary identity will showcase what our amazing teams do and help customers to navigate all our solution offerings under one roof.”
James Mitchell, CEO of Europe, added extra context, commenting, “Increasingly our customers do more for their customers. They sell and install items, service, repair, rent and maintain. Many deliver and collect items with transport solutions. And increasingly, they differentiate by fabricating or manufacturing. That’s why we’ve built a portfolio of solutions that support every part of that value chain.”
The message at the event was clear – the rebrand isn’t just a name change. It’s a fundamental shift away from a collection of powerful, yet separate solutions, to a fully integrated ecosystem of business management solutions - designed to help trade-focused businesses grow faster, serve better, and operate more efficiently.
Whether it’s providing guided picking, managing inter-branch deliveries, or forecasting stock across 100+ depots - Klipboard now brings everything together in one place.
Half a million hours of innovation
Over the past year, Klipboard has doubled down on its commitment to solving real customer problems through product innovation. At the recent Konnect event, Chief Product Officer DJ Jones revealed that the company had invested more than 500,000 hours into research and development in the last 12 months alone.
“That’s time spent building, improving, and transforming the tools our customers use every day,” Jones said. “This isn’t innovation for innovation’s sake – it’s about delivering meaningful improvements that drive measurable impact.”
From smarter automation to deeper system integrations, the result is a continuously evolving ecosystem designed to stay ahead of industry challenges and help clients to work faster, grow stronger, and deliver more for their customers.
Powering growth through smarter payments: Introducing Klipboard Money
One of Klipboard’s standout announcements this year was the launch of its integrated payment solution, designed to give distribution, wholesale and trade businesses more flexibility, speed and control when it comes to taking and managing payments. Built in partnership with leading global payment provider Adyen, Klipboard Money enables users to accept payments anytime, anywhere - whether that’s on-site, in-branch, over the phone or online. It’s fully integrated into the wider Klipboard ecosystem, which means no more clunky terminals or manual reconciliation. With real-time visibility over cash flow, and full PCI DSS compliance, Klipboard Money aims to simplify financial management for trade organisations, while enhancing customer experience. Businesses can offer their customers more ways to pay, from card payments and bank transfers to digital wallets and flexible payments - supporting everything from one-off transactions to recurring billing. “Klipboard Money gives our customers everything they need to take payments anytime, anywhere. It has fast business payments, automated reconciliation, and PCI DSS-compliant security – bringing everything together in one place,” said Lochan Sim, VP of Payments.
Whether you’re delivering materials to site, managing a busy trade counter, or running an eCommerce store, Klipboard Money has been designed to help unlock working capital and reduce admin - so you can focus on growing your business, not chasing payments.
AI-powered decisions for flooring businesses
In the fast-paced sector that is flooring, where order volumes are high, product variation is complex, and customer expectations keep rising, access to timely, accurate information is everything. Klipboard’s new suite of AI-powered tools are designed to help flooring businesses make better decisions, faster - and keep operations moving without bottlenecks. One of the standout products within its AI product suite is Klipboard Copilot - a natural-language AI assistant that gives staff across the business instant answers to common queries and can be used to carry out admin heavy tasks instantly.
Whether it’s checking on stock levels across branches, pulling up past pricing for a customer quote, or reviewing seasonal demand forecasts. Klipboard Copilot aims to make it possible to get the information you need, when you need it, without chasing reports or waiting on other teams. “Klipboard AI helps businesses to find the right solutions, fast,” Chief Product Officer, DJ Jones explained. “It’s about giving users the tools they need to act quickly, confidently and accurately – whether they’re on the shop floor or speaking directly with a customer.”
Final word: Smarter tech, faster growth, stronger futures
For distributors across the flooring industry, 2025 marks a turning point - not just for the wider trade landscape, but for the technology that powers it. The transition from Kerridge Commercial Systems to Klipboard has introduced more than a new name: it’s brought a new way of thinking. Instead of siloed products and disconnected processes, Klipboard now offers a fully connected, integrated ecosystem - purpose-built to support every part of a growing trade business.
From quoting, tallying and fulfilment, to delivery, payment and reporting - every tool is designed to help flooring companies operate faster, with greater control and confidence. With half a million hours of R&D invested, bold new AI tools for smarter decision-making, and solutions like Klipboard Money giving merchants more control over cash flow, the business has shown that it’s not just evolving - it’s leading.
