Tarkett launches its pioneering new brand: STELLAR
As an international market leader in floors, Tarkett is proud to launch its new brand, STELLAR, which has been developed to target retail and premium sales channels. Designed and made in Europe, its first collections will embody the brand’s commitment to artisanal craftsmanship, innovative design, and sustainability.

The brand’s flagship wood and stone flooring collections will be StellarCraft and StellarElements. The new collections will be made sustainably in Europe and feature a Mineral Core Board construction, comprising 70% mineral-based content. Both ranges use revolutionary 3DTex surface technology, which adds texture through a ‘brushing’ technique as opposed to the industry standard of ‘embossing’. Advanced digital scanning captures the intricate structure of real materials, allowing uncured lacquer to be brushed away for highly accurate surface sculpting. This pioneering process creates hyper-realistic textures that replicate exactly the natural finishes of wood planks and stone tiles.
The StellarElements collection has been developed in collaboration with leading ceramic companies and features 12 stone decor options, including marbles, granites, and limestones, which were originally quarried across Italy and Spain. Unlike traditional stone, StellarElements’ tiles are warm to the touch, crack-resistant, and require no sealing or retreatment. They also offer acoustic dampening and slip resistance, making them ideal for residential and commercial spaces. Installation is simplified with a click system, and the tiles can be laid directly over existing ceramic floors without the need for levelling. Twenty-four unique tiles per decor results in non-visible pattern repetition, ensuring a natural, authentic look.
For those who appreciate the charm of wooden floors, StellarCraft features 24 decors modelled on sustainably sourced, real oak planks. Each has been treated and hand-finished by our designers using traditional carpentry techniques to highlight the unique character of the wood. The colour designs are then printed directly onto the mineral core before the 3DTex brushed lacquer layer produces textures ranging from finely sanded to coarsely brushed. StellarCraft is highly wear-resistant and completely watertight, making it suitable for bathrooms and kitchens. There are 40 planks per decor, so pattern repetition is non-visible.
Thorsten Bienke, Tarkett’s Design Director who spearheaded the new collections, says: “At the heart of our creation process, our design team focused on preserving the realism of materials while striving to develop a product that surpasses reality. The rationale is simple: to blend the raw beauty of natural materials with the durability and sustainability of the very best European craftsmanship.”

Sustainability is a cornerstone of the STELLAR brand. Mineral Core Board floors contain 28% recycled content and are fully recyclable through Tarkett’s ReStart programme, which collects post-use floors and installation off-cuts to be reused in future production. The company aims to increase the recycled content in its products to 30% by 2030, reinforcing its commitment to environmental stewardship.
Marco Cordeiro, Managing Director UK & Ireland, says: “STELLAR is a celebration of design, innovation, and sustainability. With its revolutionary 3DTex technology, artisanal quality, and eco-conscious production, it will become the new benchmark in premium flooring.”
